Texas sophomore wide receiver Cayleb Jones to transfer

Texas sophomore wide receiver Cayleb Jones has decided to transfer, the school announced?Wednesday.

Jones was expected to be part of the 2013 receiver rotation after catching two passes for 35 yards last season. But he was suspended in the spring following an assault charge for allegedly striking a UT tennis player. Jones was given an? unconditional release from his scholarship.

Jones was considered one of the top wide receivers in the class of 2011. Rivals.com rated him as a four-star prospect and the No. 5 WR prospect in the nation that year. With top receivers Mike Davis and Jaxon Shipley limited early by injury, Texas faces depth concerns at the position going into preseason practice.
